My Gold Producer Categories for your strategic investing:

1. The Killer Whale:

killer whales

(These are the Majors: Gold producing companies with many operating mines, huge reserves, big gold production & future large expansions in their development pipelines.) The Institutional Investors buy this class for size & safety; you can too. Killer Whales are apex predators, the top of the gold food chain; they can swallow (acquire/buy) another whale, a shark, a goldfish, a minnow and do it strategically at times to increase their gold production and gold reserve base. They all started out as a minnow, at sometime in their history, long ago, looking for gold reserves to develop on their way to the top. These big boys develop military like bureaucracies to run their huge worldwide operations.

In my opinion, this is the best open pit gold miner in the world; a giant Killer Whale. The chart:

2. The Sharks:

shark

(Middle tier gold producers with several mines & good reserves constantly trying to expand their gold production & reserve base to become the next Killer Whale).  The Institutional Investors also like this class for size & safety; you may also, I do. Sharks are aggressive predators; they can buy, merge or joint venture with a baby killer whale, another shark, a goldfish, a minnow and do it aggressively to increase their gold production and gold reserve base to fight their way to the top; to be the next Killer Whale. They all started out as a minnow looking for gold reserves to develop. I like this class for their lean, mean and sharp management.

In my opinion, this is one of the best Sharks swimming and hunting opportunities in the world; a great White Shark, a step above the other Sharks. The chart:

3.The Goldfish:

goldfish

(These are emerging 1st time gold producers-a minnow about to produce gold). This class along with Starfish-Polymetal producers is one of my favorites. They haven’t been recognized by the Institutional Investors yet, are lean & mean to keep gold production costs low ($600-$800/oz) and have not morphed into a huge military bureaucracy, like the big Killer Whales often do. The potential for big exponential growth comes from finding these rare, exceptional, about to produce gold stock companies, especially in the beginning of a major gold bull market that I believe has started already and is in its infancy.

In my opinion, this is one of the best Minnows building its production gold plant and about to become a super Goldfish. A low cash cost producer; under $600/oz & under $ 760/oz all costs & taxes included. These Goldfish are hard to find & catch but worth the effort for potential super exponential growth and my favorite class of gold producers. The chart:

This stock has just doubled on expectations in a current gold price range of $1200-1280/oz. Watch this stock take off when gold breaks $1300/oz, a big move expected. But this rocket will really take off when their plant starts producing gold in second half of 2016.

Buy and hold this one through the entire expected gold Bull Run. This predicted gold Bull Run will have pull backs, stalls and gyrations (which are really buy in entry point opportunities) near the start. And the upcoming American presidential election will impact all the markets in unexpected ways that no one can predict. Buy it and buy more on any pull backs to dollar cost average your position.

4. The Minnows:

minnow

(Exploring, Discovering & Defining Gold reserves for future mine development & gold production). These are usually the micro penny stocks on the TSX in Canada & the AIM stock market in London, UK. These are for strong willed risk takers and seasoned Investors who understand the very high risk/high reward potential. This class, like minnows in the sea can be swallowed up early by the big whales and sharks above for their gold rich reserve assets. Or die a quick death from poor management or lack of money to develop a gold producing mine. Some of these operations are run by ex used car salesman looking to make a quick buck by running their stock up and dumping it with no intent ever to develop a producing mine. I have met these types and run from them. It’s my goal to separate the wheat (the good) from the chaff (the bad).  One important method I use myself to separate the good from the bad is to look at the big private money Investors backing these gutsy promoters. If they’re pumping millions into a good management team, then with my other criteria (gold reserve asset size & grade), I can make recommendations for potential super growth opportunities.

As gold runs up in price there will be plenty of opportunities here. See chart:

5. The “Starfish” – Polymetals

starfish

(My favorite class when 2 or more precious metals are produced from the same ROM Ore mined. Super low cost production occurs when pay metal credits are being sold from several metals contained in the same mineralized ore body. Example: Copper, Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, rare earth metals and others. A classic example is the famous mega Olympic Dam IOCG deposit in Australia, bought by BHP Billiton (a super whale, probably the largest conglomerate mining house in the world, certainly in the top 3. See these links on the most famous & largest IOCG polymetal mine in the world:

Link 1: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympic_Dam_mine

Link 2: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_oxide_copper_gold_ore_deposits

When their next expansion of this mega mine occurs, the gold pay metal produced is projected to be 25 tonnes per year; as per their technical feasibility studies. That’s 500 kilograms of gold a week as a by product of their huge copper production! And this is along with several other pay metals produced. See photo:

olympic dams..australia

Breaking news: Their open pit expansion design has been approved and they are in construction. I am not recommending BHP Billiton stock in this blog article.

But I am on this “Starfish” stock below, an Olympic Dam size mega polymetal project, unique to the world, in a safe jurisdiction, estimated in-situ value of over 1000 billion dollars with process plant already bought and ready to produce. If the Goldfish recommended above becomes a rocket, then this has the potential to become a “Starship to the Precious Metal Universe”. See chart:
